I recently realized how many people I met. I mean on the street, during trips or assigments. People I just met. Sounds to me like a project about the people I’ve seen, talked, exchanged smiles. Something to remember personally.

two frames from Barcelona, Spain and just one thought: not sure from which moment it’s correct to call this part of the city ‘small Pakistan’. Maybe never, maybe depends on intentions. Actually for that moment – there is nothing bad with people from Pakistan, they are not agressive etc. Answering the warns “do not walk there at night” – I did, I walked during a few nights thru area I call small Pakistan. I wish them luck in new home, it can be hard to survive (depending on actual situation within Spain). and of course I may be wrong with that – as I just observe the changes in the city as stranger myself.

the actual set-up of my Deardorff V8 (8x10inch) with Darlot Opticien Paris (about 375mm, f4.5, Petzval lens dated earlier then 1885):

the 2nd one shows where I’m going by personal project and photography. 33x41cm of wet collodion glass plate. almost 4x bigger then 8x10inch.

Sometimes glass plate falls from the holder. Usually it happens when glazier cut it badly and you just have taken the glass, done whole wet collodion stuff, then when putting glass into holder you see it… does not fit as it should. Time is running. 3-5 minutes to do whole stuff. let’s try, maybe it will not fall out. 1:1. The 2nd one has fallen into the Deardorff… First thought: it’s lost… f**k… Then – why not to try to rescue it? So whole 30 second to remove the focusing screen (switching all lights down before), put it back into the holder, close the holder and go back to the darkroom.

Overall this plate looks fine for me. I love these scratches. None of other plates have such story. Forget the idea, the content. One must fall.
